Cowboys Beat Giants!
Christmas Party
After we left the party, we went to the McGraws for Karaoke Fun!!! Chris LOVES when we get out the karaoke...hehe! We love to sing and it just gets louder and more off key as the night goes on...imagine that! Love Shack is my favorite and Monica and I have to sing That's What Friends Are For. I know that sounds so sweet until you hear our rendition. Again, just ask Chris. Oh well, we have a blast when we bring it out and that is all that matters!

Tuesday with Meredith
After eating, Meredith and I went to make mommy and daddy's Christmas present! You should have seen how slow I was driving with my precious cargo! Meredith did so great painting! We made something very special that will be ready at a later date (I will post the final project:) I don't want to give too many details in case Meredith's mommy is reading. Here are some cute pics of our artwork!
What a great day with my favorite two girls:)

I have been tagged!
My friend Dana tagged me. I am supposed to write about 6 quirky things about myself and then tag 6 other bloggers. So, here goes...
1. I love Juicy Apple candles made by Keepers of the Light. I light them every day and just sit and savor them! My husband always kids me that I am going to burn down the house because I light them so often.
2. Delightful is my favorite word! I use it often and always!
3. My given name is Buffy and my sister's name is Bambi. FOR REAL! I am not a Vampire Slayer either! Oh, and my mom and dad's name are pretty common-Bill and Vickie.
4. I love to go to Zumba-latin american dance class! My hips don't lie!
5. I love my job! I am a technology facilitator and I get to work with teachers and students and help them use technology in the classroom! It is so much fun!
6. Mexican food is my favorite type of food! I could eat it every meal-breakfast, lunch and dinner. My husband doesn't prefer it at all- he is from Texas and he doesn't like mexican food. Huh?
7. Okay, so I added one...My household is split. I am a OU grad and my husband is a UT Longhorn. It makes for some crazy times this time of the year!!! We met after the OU/Texas game 9 years ago. Hard to believe...The record is as follows: OU-6 TX-41999- TX
2000- OU
2001- OU
2002- OU
2003- OU
2004- OU
2005- TX
2006- TX
2007- OU
2008- TX
Okay...now it is your turn.

OU game in Seattle!
We had such a good time at the OU game in Seattle! It was the best place to watch a game and tailgate for a game. The weather was beautiful! Seattle is breathtaking! I will update with more when I get more pictures!
Trip to Seattle
Some friends and I went to Seattle for a few days. I got to see my family while there and we had a blast! Scott, my brother in law, and twin nieces picked me up at the airport when I arrived on Friday morning. They were asleep when Scott got to the airport and I couldn't wait for them to wake up. I hadn't seen my nieces since March. They had grown so much! They both had just started walking! It was so cute to see them walking. Grace takes a few steps and dives. Kate was taking 8 to 9 steps! Check out the videos of them walking at the bottom of this post!
After we got to their house and played, we went to Alki Beach in West Seattle. We had lunch at a fabulous mexican restaurant and the girls were soooo good! Scott is so calm with them and they are very calm and well behaved. We ate DELIGHTFUL mexican food and then went for a walk at the beach. The girls love to ride in their stroller and see the people, birds and the dogs that are at the beach. They love dogs! It is so funny to watch them when they see a dog:)After strolling along the beautiful beach, we went to Husky Deli. It is a fabulous little deli that has all sorts of fun foods and wonderful ice cream. Each time we go to Seattle, we have to make a stop at Husky Deli for some ice cream! I had Husky Flake-which is like chocolate chip and Scott thought I was pretty boring. They love, love, love ice cream! Grace makes the funniest face when she first takes a bite. Kate loves Chocolate Brownie!
Paula, my sister in law, had to work on Friday so I didn't get to see her until around 4:00. It was so good to see her! We got to hang out and catch up! On Sunday, they picked me up at the hotel and we had a great brunch! We played all day and then went to Green Lake in Seattle. It was so beautiful!
Here are some video of the girls walking and pictures that I took during the weekend with Scott, Paula and the girls.

Playa del Carmen!
Chris and I decided to take a little vacation to the beach! We went to Playa del Carmen Mexico! It was a blast! We left on a Thursday and had to get up EARLY! I took a picture of the clock so you would see what time we had to get up! I am used to going to bed at this time, not getting up at this time!!!
It was breathtaking!!! The water in Playa is so beautiful!
We went to an all-inclusive resort which was absolutely the way to go! We had beverages and food all day and it felt like it was free-hehe! It was nice to just walk up to the bar or snack bar and not have to worry about bringing a wallet! We enjoyed laying out each day and each night we would go eat. It was date night each night:)
On Friday evening, we went to a specialty restaurant on the resort called The Italian. ( real original, I know!) Let me just tell you...it was the best Italian food Chris and I have had in a long time. Chris ordered Chicken Parmigian and he said it was the best he had ever eaten! Who would have thought we would have to go to Mexico to have the best Italian food? They brought out each course and it looked like something you would eat in a 6 star restaurant or see on the Food Network. The presentation was beautiful! While we were enjoying our dinner, a storm blew in and it rained for maybe 20 minutes and then didn't rain again the entire trip. What a relief! After the rain, it was cool and so pretty.
We went down to the beach and looked out at the waves coming in. This was my favorite part of the trip, relaxing by the beach at night listening to the ocean. It made me wish that we lived on a beach somewhere. Wouldn't it be nice to sit out on a patio each night and listen to the ocean...it is one of my most favorite sounds!
On Saturday, we swam and enjoyed the water all day! We went to the other specialty restaurant called The Mexican that night. Where they come up with these names, I don't know:) During the day, Chris and I were talking and he thought he would think the food was good and I would be disappointed. I asked why and he said he had no hopes of the food being good and I had high expectations for it. Chris doesn't care for Mexican food. We were both pleasantly surprised again by the presentation and food! It was ABSOLUTELY DELIGHTFUL!!! That night we sat down by the beach again for a great night!
Fun with Mom!
When my mom arrived on Tuesday, she looked at my flower beds. I had just gotten my lawn company to come and get the grass out of them and planted some beautiful flowers that my mom had gotten me the week before when I was over at her house. Well, by the time she came over the next week to look at them, the ivy and most of the flowers on some plants had been eaten by RABBITS!!! We have rabbits everywhere in our community...it is SO ANNOYING! All of the money wasted for the rabbits to eat the leaves! My mom thought the flower beds looked great but I think she was a little partial! hehe! My mom and dad have a BEAUTIFUL yard! They take really good care of their flowerbeds and it seems every time I talk to them, they are planting a new bush, tree or flowers. I definitely didn't inherit a green thumb from them!
We went to eat mexican food, which we always seem to do because we LOVE it! La Hacienda is our favorite! So much for the diet- oh well!
After eating, we went shopping and we got a wild hair! I have had curtains that I had planned on hanging two or three years ago. We saw some curtains at the store and decided to hang mine. We bought some curtain rods and went home. Wow! Hanging curtains is hard work! No wonder my dad was always in charge of this project when I was growing up. We would just stand and look up at what he was doing...a lot of help I am sure! My mom decided that I was a little quicker than my dad though. Whereas he likes to get his tape measure out and get everything perfectly precise, I just start nailing things up on the wall...I think I get this from my mom! I use my non standard measurement. I think this comes from being a Kindergarten teacher for so long. In class, we would measure with unifix cubes, frog counters, teddy bears, etc. I decided that I would measure by using the item I was screwing into the wall. After getting the curtains up, we had tons of little blue plastic things left that we couldn't figure out what to do with. We called my dad later that evening to tell him how we had hung curtains on four sets of windows. He was excited probably because that meant he would have one less thing to do when he came over to my house next. When I asked him about the blue plastic items, he told me how those were supposed to help get the screws in the wall and secure the rods. So...he may have to redo the curtains after all...all I know is that they are still on the wall and haven't fallen yet! Knock on wood! Mission accomplished:) Here are some pictures of them.
4th of July
Linda, Chris' mom, is such a fabulous cook! We were excited to have some yummy, home cooked meals!
On Friday, we went over to Chris' sisters home to play in the pool. They just put in a beautiful pool! We felt like we were at a resort! Here are some pictures of Kendall and Chris. As you can see, Kendall loves the camera as much as her Aunt! I have the cutest picture of Kendall and me but each time I upload it, it turns it upside down. I will work on it:)
Brandon, my brother in law, made some strawberry margaritas for us and we enjoyed the sun! Kendall, my adorable niece, and I played golf. Brandon has made a par 3 hole on their land. It was pretty funny watching the two of us, I am sure! Let's just say my 6 year old niece hit the ball farther than I did... After having some yummy food at Joe and Linda's that night, we went in to Waco to see the fireworks! They were beautiful! Kendall and Riley really enjoyed them...as did Aunt Buffy! You would have thought I was a kid at a candy store...I love fireworks!!!
I kept trying to get a picture of Riley and he would block it or not let me...I finally said..."Would you like a picture with Uncle Chris or by yourself?" He looked at me thinking and said, "I guess if I have to, I will take a picture with Uncle Chris." I snapped the picture and as I was walking away, he said to Chris, "Well, at least I saved you from having to get a picture by yourself and I saved Aunt Buffy a picture." It was so funny! I just wished I would have had my digital camera with me this weekend and not just my iphone with NO FLASH! You can see that the quality of the pictures are not great but I had to share that funny story! Isn't Love and Logic the best!
On Saturday, the guys went golfing and the we enjoyed a day of relaxing and pancakes! Yummy! That evening, Linda made steak, twice baked potatoes and corn on the cob. It was delightful! She also served strawberry shortcake that was so awesome!
