Cruise on Spring Break

Chris and I were lucky to get to go on a cruise with my parents this year during Spring Break. We had such a fabulous time! We were sad that my sister and brother-in-law were unable to go but she is expected and was unable to travel after a certain week in her pregnancy.

We had a cold start in Galveston on Saturday but got plenty of sun as we set sail. The food was wonderful and we enjoyed dinner each night. I will admit that I was ready for some Mexican food after 9 days though!

Our ports of call were Key West, Freeport, Bahamas and Nassau, Bahamas.

We loved spending St. Patrick's Day in Key West! We went on a Conch Train around the island and then went to one of our favorite stomping grounds- Margaritaville! The "Cheeseburger in Paradise" didn't disappoint! It was DELIGHTFUL! After stopping by Jimmy Buffet's Place, we went to a few more fun stops-Fat Tuesday's and Sloppy Joe's. We had a great time at both.

Our next day, we stopped in Freeport, Bahamas. It was super cloudy and rainy that day so we slept in and enjoyed the ship. We didn't go to our excursion which was the Junkaloo Beach Day. We figured it was a little stormy for the beach.

We stopped at one of the most beautiful islands on Thursday. We went to Atlantis Beach in Nassau on Paradise Island. It was great laying out on the beach and seeing the amazing resort. There was an aquarium, casino and tons of shops and restaurants. We enjoyed the sun and beach the most.

On Friday and Saturday, we enjoyed the at sea days! It was great! We loved being out in the sun, eating all the great food and watching March Madness! Go Sooners! Sweet 16 Bound! Our ship had a feed from Colorado satellites so we were able to watch the March Madness on ABC. We were so relieved to get the games! The ship had a huge screen out on the sun deck and that is were we could watch some of the games. Nothing better than sitting in the sun and enjoying some basketball!

Sunday was quite a long day driving home from Galveston but it was definitely worth the drive! I will be posting a video when I finally get all of the pictures uploaded.

Valentine's Day

It has been quite a long time since a post. I am trying to go back and think of things that have happened that were worthy of reporting:)
On Valentine's Day, we celebrated with our favorite couples and went to Bob's Steak and Chophouse for our 8th Annual Trip. We always look forward to this event and it didn't disappoint this year! After a fabulous dinner, we went over to our friend's house and played games, enjoyed some great wine and played some Guitar Hero.
