Back from Mexico and Teaching Workshops
Chris and I went to Cabo last week. It was a blast! I had never been there. We had so much fun enjoying the sun, beverages, food and scenery. I have some pictures to post but haven't gotten them placed in a cute video yet. I will post soon! I also have a picture to scan from our sailing cruise. We went on a sailboat that races in the America's Cup. It was so cool!
As the title said, Workshops have started. I taught my first class today. Wasn't quite ready to start back because I love sleeping in and relaxing:) I enjoyed seeing teachers and my friends though! Hope everyone is enjoying the end of the summer! School will be here before we know it!

Grace and Kate
Lake Trip
We had a GREAT weekend at the lake! It was fun to spend time with our friends and our goddaughter. She really enjoyed fishing, eating ice cream that Uncle Chris kept giving her and swimming. She can already swim without a life jacket in her pool at home. Don't worry...she wore her life jacket at the lake. She is a little fish:) Here are some pictures that her mommy took this weekend.

Michael Jackson's Memorial
Wow! Yesterday, I was so overwhelmed by the amazing memorial for Michael Jackson. It was phenomenal. The speeches and performances were wonderful. I loved that there was a prayer at the end and that is was a prayer shown worldwide. I love that I was able to see the other parts of Michael's life. Not only was he an amazing performer, he was also an amazing friend, son and most of all, father. Did you get to see it? What did you think?

Slideshow of Meredith's 2nd Birthday
Here are some of the pictures that I took at Meredith's 2nd Birthday Party.
I used iPhoto Slideshow and it was super fun and easy to put together! You can't mess up pictures when this cute little one is in them! My only problem was trying to dwindle the 300 pictures down to fit in this slideshow.

Goddaughters turn 2!!!
It is so hard to imagine that our Goddaughters have turned 2! Grace and Kate, my nieces, turned two on Sunday. They are traveling with family to Chicago and Michigan. I can't wait to see the pictures from their birthday. They are so precious!
On Monday, Meredith, our best friends little girl, turned 2! We got to spend Saturday with her at My Gym for her party. It was so fun! Chris thought it was quite an experience too...hehe! He had never seen anything like it! I was in charge of pictures. When we got to their house after the party, I asked how many pictures I had taken...well, lets just say Auntie Buffy thought Meredith's party was a very special event. I took 240 pictures from the 1 1/2 hour party. I am waiting for Monica to upload the pictures and I will post them. It may take her a while...hehe!
I hope everyone has a great Fourth of July and a safe one!

George Strait and the *NEW* Cowboy Stadium
I was fortunate enough to get to go to the George Strait concert at the NEW Cowboy Stadium! This was my birthday gift from Monica. We had a blast! First off, the stadium is AMAZING! After the long ride over to Arlington, we get there to see a site that took our breath away! It is BEAUTIFUL! I just thought the American Airlines Center was cool...this is a step above the rest! For this being the first event in the stadium, the crew and staff did a great job! The venue consisted of Blake Shelton, Reba McEntire and George Strait. Julianne Hough was to open up first but she didn't make it and LeeAnn Womack played instead. We missed Lee Ann because we didn't know at the time who was playing. Once we got in the arena, it was as if we were at Disney World for Adults or as I say Las Vegas...We had floor seats so when we looked up at the jumbotron, it was ENORMOUS! The best part of the night was King George! He is and always will be my favorite country singer! He made the night!
Here are some pictures from the concert.

Monica and I outside the stadium in the parking lot.
Next up...I am looking forward to watching Tony throw it down the field to Roy this season and see the arena filled with Cowboy fans!!!

Cruise on Spring Break
Chris and I were lucky to get to go on a cruise with my parents this year during Spring Break. We had such a fabulous time! We were sad that my sister and brother-in-law were unable to go but she is expected and was unable to travel after a certain week in her pregnancy.
We had a cold start in Galveston on Saturday but got plenty of sun as we set sail. The food was wonderful and we enjoyed dinner each night. I will admit that I was ready for some Mexican food after 9 days though!
Our ports of call were Key West, Freeport, Bahamas and Nassau, Bahamas.
We loved spending St. Patrick's Day in Key West! We went on a Conch Train around the island and then went to one of our favorite stomping grounds- Margaritaville! The "Cheeseburger in Paradise" didn't disappoint! It was DELIGHTFUL! After stopping by Jimmy Buffet's Place, we went to a few more fun stops-Fat Tuesday's and Sloppy Joe's. We had a great time at both.
Our next day, we stopped in Freeport, Bahamas. It was super cloudy and rainy that day so we slept in and enjoyed the ship. We didn't go to our excursion which was the Junkaloo Beach Day. We figured it was a little stormy for the beach.
We stopped at one of the most beautiful islands on Thursday. We went to Atlantis Beach in Nassau on Paradise Island. It was great laying out on the beach and seeing the amazing resort. There was an aquarium, casino and tons of shops and restaurants. We enjoyed the sun and beach the most.
On Friday and Saturday, we enjoyed the at sea days! It was great! We loved being out in the sun, eating all the great food and watching March Madness! Go Sooners! Sweet 16 Bound! Our ship had a feed from Colorado satellites so we were able to watch the March Madness on ABC. We were so relieved to get the games! The ship had a huge screen out on the sun deck and that is were we could watch some of the games. Nothing better than sitting in the sun and enjoying some basketball!
Sunday was quite a long day driving home from Galveston but it was definitely worth the drive! I will be posting a video when I finally get all of the pictures uploaded.

Valentine's Day
It has been quite a long time since a post. I am trying to go back and think of things that have happened that were worthy of reporting:)
On Valentine's Day, we celebrated with our favorite couples and went to Bob's Steak and Chophouse for our 8th Annual Trip. We always look forward to this event and it didn't disappoint this year! After a fabulous dinner, we went over to our friend's house and played games, enjoyed some great wine and played some Guitar Hero.
